about me
Your English coach

Born on the west coast of Canada (Vancouver), English is my mother tongue. I have been living in Paris since 2015, where I am surrounded by many languages and regularly communicate in English with non-native speakers and native speakers alike.  I have diplomas in general academic studies and studio art, as well as a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification.  Working simultaneously as a professional photographer since 2005, I also have extensive experience in that field.  Prior to photography and coaching, I worked in the film industry for almost 9 years.  From my mid-teens to early twenties, I was immersed in the interior design domain and had many roles, such as design consultant and visual merchandiser. When not coaching or photographing, I organize networking events because I adore getting to know new people and helping them to thrive.

My Approach

learning
should be fun

As an English Coach, my teaching approach is very adaptive and the atmosphere is encouraging and non-judgemental.  During the one-on-one lessons, we discuss subjects that interest you or topics related to your work, the news, your holidays and much more.  Since the course is personalized, we will chat in the beginning to identify the things you need to work on first.  My lessons are based on conversation, so you can expect to get lots of practice speaking and understanding English to increase your fluency and confidence.  I tailor the format to fit your needs and I have many tools and techniques to choose from, so if you also need help improving your grammar, vocabulary, writing, and pronunciation, I have methods for that too.  We will adjust the lessons to suit your learning style. To ensure your continued motivation and interest, I always want the lessons to be relaxing and fun.  I often release my inner clown, so get ready to laugh!
